How to get a boarding group for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance

Rise of the Resistance is hands down one of our favorite experiences in Disneyland. It is amazing and unlike anything else in the parks.

Virtual Queue

In order to ride this new Star Wars ride in Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland park, you have to get a boarding group to join a virtual queue. The process is very time sensitive and comes on a first come, first serve basis. 

The steps are:

  • Create an account
  • Secure your spot at 7:00 a.m. or 1:00 p.m.

If you have secured a boarding group for the Star Wars ride, then you will be notified on your Disneyland app when it is time to join. You are given a specific boarding group number and specific time slot to arrive at the entrance. Even though this process can be stressful at times, try your best and don’t give up! The Resistance needs you!

Standby Queue

Since November 22, Disneyland has started testing out a standby queue for Rise of the Resistance. This means there is no boarding group for a virtual queue during these times, but Disneyland may bring back the virtual queue on certain days.
